Before you read the review check out this video I found of the Panasonic TZ10 on YouTube. I thought I would share it with you as it’s very helpful. The girl in the video is Australian and I love the way she says “data”! Enjoy
The body
Sleek and slim – these two words ring true when we talk about the Panasonic Lumix TZ10. Some people will cringe upon hearing these two words because it could mean that it is one of those overtly difficult to handle models that larger hands can’t keep steady. However, with the bumped side that allows for better grip and the carefully angled LCD screen, you will never have a hard time snapping candid photos of your loved ones.
The performance
There are a lot of things to love with the Panasonic TZ10. For starters, its 12.1 megapixels capability is already enough to capture crisp photos. With the added 12x optical zoom, 25mm wide angle, and Leica DC lens, the photos just pop to life. Also, you can leave your dedicated video recorder at home as this model captures HD videos that you can watch directly on your TV. Sure, there are other models that have all these features packed but how much do they cost? A lot more than £189, that’s for sure.
The extra features
Aside from the essentials that you would look for in any compact camera, the Panasonic Lumix TZ10 also has some other features that make it a worthwhile investment. If you are an experienced photographer looking for the features of an SLR on a more compact body, the manual mode controls for aperture and shutter speed will come handy as you can dilly-dally with the settings depending on the scenario. For those who would just want to make sure that you have decent memories of memorable events in your life, the Power O.I.S. system unique to TZ10 allows you to aim and shoot effortlessly and the system enhances your photos, taking away the blur or the bad lighting, capturing moments faster than a blink of an eye.
With all these features, the price of the Panasonic Lumix TZ10 is a hard one to beat. Sure, there are other models that could come at par to the features packed in this unit but the prices are outrageously more expensive. No wonder this has been chosen as the Winner of Best Travel Compact Camera for two straight years (2010 and 2011) at the European Imaging Sound Association. Overall, if you choose to buy the Panasonic Lumix TZ10, you can’t really go wrong! Terry Howe Photography.
